The Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Promotion was launched 1989. With tickets selling at USD 139 and coupons limited to 1000, the ticket holders make a chance to win a luxury car - a BMW, Mercedes Benz, Porsche or an Audi. The prizes in some of the lotteries have even included a Bentley, Audi R8, McLaren and Aston Martin.
If you don't wish to spend $139 on a car lottery ticket, you can buy just a $28 ticket for the motorbike draw. The prize in this draw is a Harley Davidson or a Ducati motorbike.
In 1999, Dubai Duty Free launched a third lottery- the Millennium Millionaire. Dubai Duty Free claims that this popular promotion has already created over 130 dollar millionaires!
Every passenger arriving, departing or transiting through Dubai International Airport is welcome to enter the draw and tickets can be even purchased online. Each draw is limited to just 5,000 tickets.
