Duibai Builds a Copy of the Taj Mahal

If you think that Dubai's skyline cannot get more extreme, you are wrong. Dubai will soon have a copy of India's most famous landmark - Taj Mahal. The building will be called Taj Arabia. It will be an exact replica of Taj Mahal but several times the size of the Indian original.

The Dubai version of the Taj Mahal will be constructed by the privately held company Falconcity of Wonders. Construction of the complex is expected to be completed in 2014.

Taj Arabia will be a huge complex of residential and commercial buildings. It will boast a five star luxuious hotel and a mega retail center including a jewellery souk and wedding botiques. The building will be surrounded by lush green gardens including a copy of the famous Mughal Gardens.

Falconcity of Wonders is a Dubai based company which specializes in mega real estate projects. Other company projects include the Dubai Eiffel Tower, Dubai Grand Pyramid, the Tower of Pisa, the Dubai Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Town of Venice and the Great Wall.
